Chair: Lo van der Valk
Mission: Monitor applications for changes to Carnegie Hill buildings, draft positions for CHN on controversial proposals, monitor emerging rear yard incursions.


Chairs: Cynthia MacGrath
Mission: Complete redraft of the Architectural Guide to Carnegie Hill.
*Need volunteers to research buildings, enter findings in the CHN building database, write and edit the architectural guide and more.


Chair: Andrea Cuvelier
Mission: Increase CHN membership.
Current Projects: Expand the list of members with names of non-members in all Carnegie Hill buildings. Enroll more brownstone residents.
*Need volunteers to be building and block coordinators to write notes to neighbors and distribute material.


Co-Chairs: Mark Goldsmith, Susan Gottridge, and Gina Morehead
Mission: To increase awareness in the Carnegie Hill community about CHN activities and opportunities.
Current Projects: To advertise the Spring Party, Emergency Preparedness classes, the new Security Program, and to prepare sales items with the CHN brand.


Co-Chairs: Teri Swanson, Della Leathers, Jurate Kazickas
Mission: Increase donor participation at the Carnegie Circle, Patron and Benefactor levels.


Co-Chairs: Committee in formation
Mission: Stage successful annual parties that are enjoyed by the guests and raise essential funds to support CHN activities.
*Volunteers will be needed in planning the party, assisting the night of the party (TBA) and in manning the weekend raffle sales tables.


Chair: Linda Kurtz
Mission: To plan and produce small-scale events such as lectures and book readings.
*Need volunteers to plan and staff mini events.

Mission: Inform our community on proper tree care by distribution of the CHN tree care brochure and by newsletter updates; prune the trees in Carnegie Hill in spring and fall.
*Need volunteers to become Citizen Pruners.


Chair: Susan Gottridge
Mission: To work with city agencies and other organizations to curtail newspaper vending boxes, unlawful vendors, and other quality-of-life issues; to keep mailboxes graffiti free and lampposts cleared of flyers.
*Need volunteers to report newspaper-vending-box violations to the DOT. Also need volunteers to plant the 96th Street tree pits following the steps used to plant 86th Street.

Chair: Mark Goldsmith
Mission: Encourage 100 percent participation of all multi-dwelling buildings in the Safety Patrol Program.
Current Projects: Utilize the newsletter, website, direct phone contact, and mailings to enlist the participation of co-ops and condos as well as brownstone residents.


Chair: Mark Goldsmith
Mission: To recommend new CHN Board members, to encourage active participation and leadership on CHN committees by board members, and to monitor the rotation of the board.
Current Project: To create a CHN Advisory Committee made up of individuals who can make particular contributions to the organization.


Chair: Barbara Coffey; Editorial Design, Cynthia MacGrath, Gina Morehead
Mission: To produce two newsletters a year that inform the neighborhood of CHN activities and positions and encourage membership and participation in the organization; to produce documents such as the CHN brochure.
Current Project: To enhance the CHN website.
*Volunteers with computer and design skills needed to assist in design projects for the newsletter, website, and other communications. Writers and editors always welcome.


Chair: Bonnie Lane Webber
Mission: To apprise the Carnegie Hill community of environmental issues; encourage residents to reduce, reuse, and recycle; and to support city and statewide steps to improve the water supply and energy sources.
Current Projects: Increase participation in Community Supported Agriculture and encourage people to attend monthly grass-roots meetings.
