David Stoll, Chairman
I’ve been active in CHN since the late 90s. I’ve always been interested in historic preservation, saw the development pressures that exist even in historic districts like Carnegie Hill, and wanted to help the effort to preserve our beautiful neighborhood and its many special buildings from turning into glass towers. Eventually I joined the board, then the EC, then became Chairman. Working with Joanna and Lo and my fellow EC members, I now participate in all aspects of what CHN does. I am so proud to say we not only do so much to beautify and preserve Carnegie Hill but, through our many events and excellent newsletter, we also help make it a real neighborhood, where residents and business owners feel connected to the neighborhood and to each other. That’s a wonderful and rare thing in a city like New York.
