Irene Aldridge, Director

My husband and I moved to Carnegie Hill in 2007 from Toronto and immediately came across an amazing publication by Carnegie Hill Neighbors—a truly neighborhood organization within such a large and diverse city we have always loved. I studied for my undergraduate and graduate degrees and worked in financial services in New York City all my adult life. We promptly joined CHN and were amazed to discover the depth of interest members take in our neighborhood and the degree of care and passion that goes into all aspects of preservation, beautification and security. Our three children, all thriving in Carnegie Hill, walk to school safely every day. We are grateful for the permanence of magnificent buildings CHN helps to preserve. As a big data researcher and a lecturer, walking in Carnegie Hill helps me think through tough material while enjoying the environment. And yes, we occasionally garden with other dedicated neighbors in Seabury Playground, where our children love to play.
