Education
Understanding our neighborhood's past is essential to protecting its future.

For more than 50 years, Carnegie Hill Neighbors has helped residents, visitors, and future generations discover the history, architecture, and stories that define Carnegie Hill.

Through developing educational resources including the Carnegie Hill Architectural Guide, neighborhood walking tours, self-guided audio tours, coloring books, lectures, and special programs, we make the neighborhood's rich heritage accessible to people of all ages.

By documenting and sharing the stories behind Carnegie Hill's historic buildings, streetscapes, and cultural landmarks, we foster a deeper appreciation for the neighborhood and inspire stewardship of the places that make it unique. Education is a cornerstone of preservation—when people understand what makes a neighborhood special, they are more likely to advocate for its protection and help ensure its character endures for generations to come.

With close attention paid to every detail, block by block, the guide documents the neighborhood's extraordinary built environment and serves as an invaluable record of Carnegie Hill's heritage.

The guide also includes Carnegie Hill Walks, a collection of eight self-guided tours complete with maps and descriptions that invite readers to explore the neighborhood firsthand. Get the guide by visiting our online merchandise boutique at chneighbors.square.site/

Building on this legacy, Carnegie Hill Neighbors continues to develop new ways to engage the public through audio walking tours, neighborhood tours, coloring books, lectures, and educational programming that bring local history to life.
