Building a Stronger Neighborhood Through Support for the Yorkville Alliance Business Improvement District (BID)

Over the past three years, the Yorkville Alliance Steering Committee—comprised of local residents, property owners, and tenants—has worked closely with New York City to identify the services and improvements most needed in the Yorkville neighborhood of the Upper East Side.
As a result of this community-driven planning process, the Yorkville Alliance is proposing the creation of a Business Improvement District (BID) to bring enhanced sanitation, public safety, beautification, and other neighborhood services to the area.
The effort includes participation from members of established community organizations, including Carnegie Hill Neighbors, and is supported by the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS).
This proposed BID would bring new resources and services to an area that borders Carnegie Hill, creating benefits for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. Carnegie Hill Neighbors is proud to support this community-led effort to enhance the neighborhood and strengthen the broader Upper East Side.
Community members are encouraged to learn more about the proposal and participate in the ballot process.
