Volunteer with Carnegie Hill Neighbors

Join us in keeping Carnegie Hill vibrant, connected, and cared for!

We welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities—whether you're a student, a family, a retiree, or simply looking to give back.

There are many ways to get involved, including:

  • Mailing Assistance – help prepare mailings by attaching labels, stuffing envelopes, and organizing materials.

  • Annual Spooktacular – Sharing treats and smiles with trick-or-treaters at our annual halloween block party

  • Annual Spring Benefit – Welcoming guests, assisting with check-in, and providing event information

  • Park Clean Ups / Beautification Projects — Join neighbors to pick up litter, plant bulbs, enhance tree beds, replace trees, and install new tree guards to keep our parks and avenues green and welcoming.

  • Coat and Toy Drive — Help collect and deliver donations to our office for distribution to families in need

  • Helping with neighborhood research, archival projects, or community surveys

  • Caring for our trees — pruning, mulching, or maintaining tree beds

  • Lending a hand at our Spring Benefit or other events

  • Participating in clean-up or beautification days

  • Photographing neighborhood events or community landmarks

We’re always looking for volunteers with expertise in specialized areas like architecture, preservation, neighborhood history, graphic design, photography, and more to support community projects throughout the year. Whether you have an hour or a few days to give, your involvement makes a real difference.
